What's the deal with this area? I'm sure that @Rizz Carlton knows.
There's a series of aviaries, many of which still contain live birds, but this whole zone is entirely closed to the public and I didn't see any staff either. It's across the road from the current Bird Park, which is an excellent facility, but still within the grounds of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. Was there two bird parks at one time or was this an older area that was at one time a continuation of the current bird park? What's the scoop?
@snowleopard the infrastructures shown at the foreground might be an old entrance, which indeed they were several in the past prior to the revitalization.
I think I do have an answer . That particular area has been there for quite a long time (Noticed the old infrastructures) and have been used as a larger off-display holding and breeding facility for a lot of birds and other animals, despite the Bird Park also having some smaller holding cages off-display within their ground. These aren't exclusive for Bird Park inhabitants, as they had temporarily hold some newly-rescued false gharials for Museum Komodo prior to the revitalization.
