This bird raising room was rather a sore sight and definitely the lowest point at Mondo Verde.
It all seemed fairly improvised and amateuristic and not really what you'd expect in a truly professional zoo - then again, maybe I'm wrong and this is not uncommon in the zoological world behind-the-scenes. However, this room is not behind-the-scenes and I wonder why they show such a poor image to the public.
That said, as unprofessional as this room looks, it does seem like they do kind of know what they are doing, given that they seem to be breeding cranes, ibis and ground hornbills (even though they are hand-raising them).
