Garrulax bicolor.

Two are on show in the Rainbow Lawn aviaries. Anyone know how long these have been there? Quite often skip those aviaries - only by chance I happened to check them this time round.

Not a clue haven`t checked those avaries for about 3 months, but what species have they been split from as i cannot find them in my species list of birds?

Had to look this up but it used to be considered a subspecies of Garrulax leucolophus - good old White-crested Laughing-Thrush. Pretty distinctive-looking though.

Now just outside the tropical realm. Very nice birds. If you whistle at them, they're easily provoked into laughing back :)
