Having not seen the jackals since a winter visit in Feb 2015, I had begun to think they were a figment of my imagination - despite the signage remaining in the tunnel between the two older tiger enclosures throughout the intervening period.
So, I was delighted to glimpse three; of which I was able to badly photograph two (in my state of shock), late on in the day, despite their enclosure being very overgrown at this time of year.
I haven't seen the Jackals since my first visit over 5 years ago, you were lucky! I must have made countless returns to that window on my subsequent dozen or so visits without success!
To see all 3 is an even rarer event I expect
