Black-backed Jackal, Hamerton

February 18th, 2019. Given the quality of Hamerton pictures here, posted by @Ro66ca66 I hesitated to post these....
I rather like the fact that the Jackals are so difficult to see here: when you do see them, as here, it is quite a treat! For those who don't know Hamerton, the viewing of the Jackals is through one of the tiger enclosures, so even when they are out and about they are quite some distance away - which may be something to do with the fact that they look to be a very calm group.
