This enclosure, complete with viewing platform, pool, fencing and holding unit cost around $280,000 and was completed in September 2008.

Have the plans for an otter house gone ahead?

This is located near the grey wolves, and directly across from the coyote enclosure. The plans for an otter house have seemingly been abandoned, as well as a new grizzly bear exhibit because the two bears are extremely old. The two major changes between my visits in 2006 and 2009 are the black bear enclosure (with 3 bears) and the bird of prey complex. The next step is a small waterfowl pool.
