Orycteropus 16 Aug 2009 No, she wasnt ... however, she was more and more closer to the bird (see the enclosed pictures). This cheeky Magpie is sometimes around the exhibit and trying to get some food items from the Mongooses.

P P PAT 17 Aug 2009 I've seen this happen with asian short-clawed otters and indian miners. Although the otters were a bit less stealthy and ran straight at the miners (there were about 5) anbd made heaps of noise. It was fun to watch.
