Black-Footed Penguin Exhibit (Temporary Summer Rental)

July 24th, 2012.
Is this it? I was expecting something a little better than this!

The enclosure is terribly small, and Topeka Zoo currently has 6 penguins in a near-identical exhibit!

An excerpt from my N.C. Aquarium (Pine Knoll Shores) review:

Penguin Plunge – There are 4 African black-footed penguins in a temporary exhibit, and they will be at the aquarium until September 30th. This is a seasonal gimmick to entice visitors to witness the appallingly tiny space where the penguins are located. They are found in Soundside Hall, a large room used for special events that is now empty except for a video screen of the penguins and the enclosure itself. I would estimate that the exhibit is 15 ft. wide, 15 ft. high and 15 ft. long and it is a new contender for America’s worst penguin exhibit. Great Plains Zoo, you have been warned!

Apparently you have never seen the Penguin Exhibit at the Niagara Falls Aquarium, they have an all indoor exhibit for African Penguins that is basically rocks on one half and a small pool on the other and they have around 6-8 penguins, http://rvdreams.smugmug.com/Howard-...-Falls-State-Park/i-9vFw53Z/0/S/DSC2316-S.jpg Overall its a nice little aquarium though.

I wasn't crazy! I knew that I saw something like this at the aquarium when I was younger. Seeing it now, it is awfully small. What company does these rentals?
