A pleasant surprise at this roadside zoo, there is a single older female black lemur housed in a wholly inadequate enclosure with a male black and white ruffed lemur.
An excellent question. I know they originally had a breeding group from back 20-30 years ago, this female is the last from that group. This place actually has a few Canadian rarities, along with the black lemur, they also have sulawesi black macaque, a caracal, and one or two other unique species.
