Black-naped fruit dove (Ptilinopus melanospilus melanauchen)

This is a great little species of fruit-dove! I have mixed feelings about her being sold in a shop and I don't know the back story behind this shop or this photo or this bird. This a fruit-dove that readily bred in captivity and seems to be doing well in the wild as well; but I hope she ends up in good hands and hopefully in a managed breeding program.

@Summer Tanager Like I said previously, this is in an bird market in Solo and generally bird markets here took their birds from the wild (With the exception of exotic or farm-bred birds). There are farms for fruit doves here, but I'm not sure there's plenty that had breed this species before (Who might prefer getting them in the wild rather than making more effort by breeding them). While generally there's chances that they might end up in a good hand of a expert collector, but sadly most aren't geared towards breeding.
