Black-necked Crane (Grus nigricollis)

November 10, 2022.
Latest addition to the zoo, the pair is now on show in the crane exhibit. Technically it's not a new species as the zoo keeps thirteen of all fifteen crane species in the world (with the exception of brolga and whooping crane), but for a species kept behind the scenes for years it's still nice for visitors to finally see the hidden treasure.
