@Gigit Thanks for the photos. Do you think these barriers are at the request of zoo licensing, perhaps on safety grounds, or on the recommendation of keepers for welfare reasons?
It’s not a nice ‘feel’ in that area now and it all feels a wee bit, well, amateurish?
@TriUK When I first saw it, along with some 'closed for maintenance' signs, I did think that there must have been a recent inspection. Maybe it's just temporary and something will eventually be done to the wall, although it's served its purpose as it is for many years? It does mean that visitors are forced closer together than is ideal at the moment, and presumably stops zoo vehicles from using the path. I saw a small child inside the barriers yesterday!
