Gracias, megakillerwhale. I went to Brookfield zoo on an overcast day in November. There were no crowds and most of the animals were active. It turned out to be a splendid day for photography.
Also, according to wikipedia, Brookfield zoo was actually the first north american zoo to breed black rhinos back in 1941.
