Black tailed rattlesnake feeding

I usually visit in the morning but this time went for the last two hours of the day. A keeper was feeding all the snakes in the old reptile building. She said they are only fed every three or four weeks, so I was fortunate to see it. The other snake exhibits she accessed from the back but this one only opens from the front in the visitor area. There were perhaps half a dozen visitors and all of us backed up to give her space without her having to ask us. I found it fascinating that they would open a venomous snake exhibit with visitors in the room.
