Blesbok : Whipsnade : 19 Jul 2014

One of the three blesbok (Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi) currently housed in the roan/sitatunga accomodation, recently opened to public access again. Not a great shot, but the best I could manage through the scratched, near-opaque plastic windows in this building.

Roan antelope in the background.

Note: on the previous day, I had thought that these three had been moved to the paddock to the right of the entrance to Passage through Asia. However, on checking both areas today, it would seem that those are an additional two (?) individuals (possibly blesbok, although I'm not 100% sure).
