Blue-and-Gold Macaw Exhibit

Believe it or not, this exhibit once held lions!. There was a 15 foot (or so) wide water moat in the foreground surrounding a tiny peninsula of concrete that sometimes had 4 lions on it, with barely enough room to turn around. It was atrocious--this is a much better use of a concrete grotto

Good lord I knew it had been some brutal chamber in the past but did not know the extent of it!

This habitat will soon house agoutis, the macaws have moved to the old griffon vulture aviary along with some curassows.
