Boat-Billed Heron (Cochlearius cochlearius)

Taken on 27th November 2024 in Hong Leong Foundation Crimson Wetlands. Starring perhaps the hardest to find bird in the Aviary.

According to keepers, the Heron typically comes down around 5.45pm by the Macaw Interaction area and sticks around for a while. Though due to the constant raining from the past weeks it has been coming out more often and at earlier times.

Though where did you spot it from? I'm assuming the waterfall?

@LeMandaiEnthusiast‧ the first time was by the waterfall, the second time was high up in the trees where the macaws hang out
