Bodinus' Amazon (Amazona festiva bodini)

During my visit I only saw one pair who seemed to be preparing to nest. Knowing 'Tierpark's mentality', I assume they would have more breeding pairs behind the scenes. Interesting to know is that this subspecies is named after the Tierpark's director Heinrich Bodinus (between 1869 -1884) who brought this subspecies for the first time to Europe. Ever since, this subspecies is represented in Berlin :)

OK, know the species was named after Heinrich Bodinus but didn´t know it was represented all the time at Berlin. I guess you mean the Zoo, because the Tierpark didn´t exist at the time the subspecies was discribed.
