Bolivar Skin Mount Recreation

The large Sri Lankan bull elephant Bolivar who resided at the Philadelphia Zoo from 12-25-1888 until his death on 7-21-1908 was mounted by Academy taxidermist David McCadden in 1909. However, due to the skin cracking and falling apart the mount was taken down and discarded ten years later in 1919.
