Are the Meerkats (and Bat-eared Foxes in another exhibit) entirely on textured cement? Is there an outdoor exhibit or any natural substrate on the floor? If not, then that's quite disappointing.
@snowleopard Yes, entirely on cement. No substrate, not even a digging box or something. I was pretty shocked by this exhibit. Even the ones outside AZA are on dirt/sand, including Catoctin's, which is also entirely indoors. Based on @ZooBinh's photos from a few years ago, the bat-eared foxes and meerkats switched exhibits at some point, but they're both poor exhibits.
