Mmm… To be honest I don't know. I assume not. This species is kept in captivity for as far as I know only on the island of Borneo (even in Malaysia/Indonesia). I thought that the only captive (breeding) group is at the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park. I believe that the situation is different for the African forest elephant subspecies. These are kept in some zoos across western Africa (I've seen them in Nigeria and Gabon), though no breeding groups. Mostly just individuals or no more than 2-3 animals.

Oh, I've been to the Orgeon Zoo, but I thought they were all Asian elephants… Interesting… Do you know what's the story behind this female?

There are two females at the Hannover zoo, whom have bred multiple times with mainland, and Sri Lankan Asian elephants.
