@Baldur: As probably the only member who has seen both, which Madagascar exhibit do you think was better Omaha of Bronx? I myself wasn't very impressed with the exhibits in Omaha, bu the collection was very complete.
It all depends. See, I saw the two exhibits under different circumstances. The Bronx building I saw only once, on a Sunday so it was crowded (does affect your pleasure in any zoo building) while I visited the Omaha building many times, over two weekdays and thus had it mostly for myself. Omaha is also not NYC.
Expedition Madagascar at Omaha is rather traditional; you've got your corridors and glass-covered exhibits that are fairly traditional for the most part, although I must add that it is all very well done, and the education work is outstanding. A bonus is the Aye Aye in no doubt the very best exhibit I have ever seen for this species.
Madagascar! (this is the first and only time you'll see me using that exclamation point) at the Bronx is better designed in my view, there was more imagination put in it, although if it is better for the animals is hard to say. I only wish that I had managed to see it under the same nice and quiet circumstances as I had at Omaha.
