Brown Hyena

Felt very privileged to see this animal. 27th May 2009.

When was this photo taken exactly?

Anyway, I was at Port Lympne WAP the day before yesterday as well.

On the 27th of May. Might have met you without realising, weather was a bit out of hand eh?

Yeah, I saw the date. I meant the exact time (hour, minute). So? The reason why I am asking because I missed the species (the only member of the Hyaenidae I have never seen).

Yeah, in terms of weather this was my worst station during my UK Zoo Trip ...

Maybe we saw each other

It was about half three or so in the afternoon. The lions and tigers down there were also quite active, though there were no signs of the hunting dogs (in fact I didn't see any at either of the parks).

It killed the 'African' in the 'Experience' a bit, though I suppose if it was rainy season...

Quite possibly...

Its great that there are new hyenas now , i remember the original hyenas by the barbary lions , they had striped and brown hyenas at that point
