Brown Pelican Exhibit at Halle, 04/09/11

Home to a group of Eastern Brown Pelicans ([i]Pelecanus occidentalis carolinensis[/i]) with a single Californian Brown ([i]P. o. californicus[/i]) - a nostalgic animal for me as it was the first 'big' non-European animal species I ever saw in the wild, just north of Los Angeles in 1998.
