Are these wild brown rats (r.norvegicus) or a domesticated variety?
I have often pondered upon the idea does an animal need be exotic to display well, or can native species well presented be good exhibits. Rats I'm afraid never featured in my list, if only because of the smell, and attracting yet more rats.
