I don't know anything about the colour vision of short-beaked echidnas, but the nasty green colour of Bruce's dish had not affected his appetite for his late breakfast (at 3.30 pm). As Gigit has reported there is a transport box in his enclosure, which may be connected with on-going work in the old Nocturnal House. I had looked for him around noon, when he was curled up in a burrow under his nice new deluxe hutch.
