This is a great photo of one of my favourite species at the zoo. One of the reasons why I think this is the new bettong is because the other ones normally hang around the back of the exhibit while this one mostly stays where the public can view it.

Arcticwolf is right, this is a fantastic photo. Its so freaking adorable. But then again what mammal doesnt look adorable sleeping? Best photo of a bettong take by one of us yet!

arcticwolf, you have some good photos up yourself and often comment on others' photos. Have you seen this:

Wildlife Photographer of the Year | Level 3 | Royal Ontario Museum

It is the best collection of nature, particularly wildlife, photos I have seen. The first week of the exhibit, my friend and I expected to spend an hour or so touring the 100 or so photos, but we spent almost three hours! Yesterday I went again and spent about an hour and a half. Each photo has a description of the circumstances and the equipment, giving me a few ideas to try with my modest camera.

I don't know if it is convenient for you but if you can go you will love it. It's on until March; don't know the exact date.

Thanks for sharing that Mr Wrinkly. I was actually planning on visiting the ROM sometime in February and this makes me want to go even more.

It's hard to know if this is the new bettong because I have seen one of the females sleeping in that spot many times.
