Buff-rumped Thornbill - Lamington National Park

17/06/2016
Looking through my pictures, I found this one which I always intended to go back to and ID when I had time but I completely forgot. Any thoughts on this bird?

it looks like a gerygone. Could be an immature white-throated gerygone which is apparently at Lamington, but that's my best guess.

Based on the pale eye colour and the touch of red on the forehead, I'm going for Buff-rumped Thornbill.

ooh, yes I like that much better. I think your monitor is better than mine - the forehead colour is barely there for me and I can't see the eye colour.

I agree with Hix.
