The second enclosure for ring-tailed cat in the Desert. This enclosure also holds striped skunk.
Burgers' Desert was opened in 1994. It resembles the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico. It is connected through an underground tunnel to Burgers' Bush. There are dayactive as well as nightactive animals. Species include collared peccary, Californian bighorn sheep, ring-tailed cat and turkey vulture.
