A seperate aviary holding socorro dove. This aviary was once home to crested caracara but they figured out how to get out of this aviary by lifting the flaps seperating this aviary from the rest of the Desert.
Burgers' Desert was opened in 1994. It resembles the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico. It is connected through an underground tunnel to Burgers' Bush. There are dayactive as well as nightactive animals. Species include collared peccary, Californian bighorn sheep, ring-tailed cat and turkey vulture.
