Butterfly-specimen

May 1 2016 - Butterfly exhibition
Why not putting the correct title initially, instead of just 'butterfly specimen'?
Same applies to similar photos.
The name on label is clearly visible at enlarged pic.

This one is familiar to many indeed, unlike hundreds of other unnamed specimen pictures at Zoochat.
Name should be always indicated if it's known or can be read by photographer, since there are people who hadn't seen this species before. And those aren't kids only.

A problem by these labels - especialy in insects - is that in many cases old names are used or - even worse - fantasy-names. Ive had a number of stuffed butterflies with names on the label which could not be found in any book or on the web so thats why I don't automaticly copy the names from the labels...

Fantasy names are usually found on widely sold specimens made in Asia (China, Thailand etc). For example, Atlas moth comes as 'Load butterfly' and Papilio xuthus as 'Oranges and tangerines Hewitson'.
Speaking about labels in this gallery, they're not fantasy.
