@Fargusno it would be better if leopard coral groupers were housed in the main tank due to their larger size. This tomato hind should’ve stayed at the larger coral reef aquarium at the hide & seek zone.
@Caribbean Flamingo Oddly enough, the signage in front of the Sea Tunnel entrance still had the yellowfin grouper (Epinephelus flavocaeruleus) icon and info, though it has not been added in the exhibit yet until now. Thankfully BXSea used tablet PCs for their signages, so they could update it in an event an animal gets phased out or swapped.
JAQS also used digital signages, but some exhibits has physical signages instead.
Guess I'm lucky to be able to photograph one there.
@Fargusno the digital signages at BXSea can be outdated, not specified (Only detailing genus, without further specifying which species), incomplete (Only labelling 4-5 species, in an exhibit with more numbers of species) and can also be innacurrate. So, I don't really see them as credible, not to mention the way they're formated (Moving icons) are very impractical for the guests interested in learning and IDing their collection.
Jakarta Aquarium is generally better, very accurate with the species they have in that exhibit more often than not. But its still flawed with outdated taxonomy (Their P. ater are still signed as P. sephen, which are now considered to be exclusive in the western Indian Ocean), not to mention how horribly outdated and innacurate the signage are for their land and freshwater collection.
