if you're familiar with the typical zoo thing where small mammals get stuck in small enclosures, this cage is going against the norm. The civet can be seen asleep at the far right, on the branch just above the sign.
The area is still far less than what the animal could make use of, but it is nevertheless much better than what is normally granted to them.
