I went to Asbury Park in New Jersey and I manage to get this excellent photo of a gull. Now Gull species are the hardest for me to identify cause they almost all look exactly the same and was wondering if anyone on here might have a clue as to this species? Thanks!
What date was the photo taken? This is not a fully adult gull so knowing what time of year may help. I have a couple species in mind I'm comparing.

@drill No. It's either a California or Herring, and I'm pretty sure I know which. Time of year should solidify my suspicions.

(Which by the way, it's not a Ring-bill because there is a tinge of red in the bill, which no Ring-bill has. Also a Ring-bill of that age should have yellow legs, not pink.)
