I spent probably 5-6 hours of my time on the first day between Singapore Zoo and Night Safari staring up at trees. I had a route in the zoo I knew was colugo heavy in the past, I was told the trees on the main road leading to the zoo sometimes house colugos (which I scoured until the night safari opened) and then had guides at the night safari help me look with spot lights. I photographed many a tree bump but alas no colugos. I suppose because it was raining most of that day, that varied their behavior.
I had one more day and was determined to find a colugo. I looked outside the entrance of the night safari and found one within 90 seconds haha. Without making much effort I found 6 or 7 (including a baby) more throughout the zoo. Couldn't believe how easy they were to spot compared to the day before.
