I just visited Calgary Zoo twice within a week and I was once again enormously impressed with this walk-through aviary. There are a couple of Snowy Owls, at least one Rough-Legged Hawk, several Great Grey Owls and a number of Barred Owls...all with zero barriers between visitors and birds of prey and all together in the same large space. I'm not sure that I've ever encountered such a unique walk-through aviary in all of my zoo visits and it seems that the birds each stick to their own section in the netted enclosure.
