Are these now the only Cape Buffalo in the UK? They are splendid animals, and it's a pity that they're not more prominently displayed, though I quite understand why they're not in the main drive-through section!

Knowsley have got them as well. Compared to the Giraffes (who are in the same drive through area although separated) Joe public took no notice whatsoever of these guys. Which I feel is a shame... if they were going to be moved it would be nice to see them in an area where JP are more likely to notice them
I seem to remember one of these two places had five middle-aged+ females and then added a younger bull (it was 8 at the time) from Scandinavia. Was that West Midlands I'm referring to? And are these current two the only calves they have bred so far?
Beekse Bergen kept them in a drive through section for a while, now they are separated, but I think it was due to the fact that there were problems with the other inhabitants (black sable, grevy zebra).

Knowsley imported a bull from Boras, Sweden a couple of years ago. I think your thinking of them rather than West Mids. They've had one calf (a male) but I gather breeding has stalled since then (correct me if I'm wrong on that one)
West Mids started with 2.0 from Dvur Kralove in 2006 - one of these males left and was replaced with females in 2008. So in 6 years I'd be pretty sure West Mids will have bred them before..
