Nairobi Nursery: Cape Steenbok. August 13, 2021. On my first visit to the park I found the steenbok to be extremely skittish and hard to spot. On this visit, however, they were very showy and sometimes more easily visible than their exhibit-mates. This male is kept in the hoofstock nursery yard with young Red-Flanked Duiker, Bontebok, and Nile Lechwe (all single calves) at the time of my visit.
