Carnivore House Renovation - July 2019

Having just visited both Berlin Zoo and Berlin Tierpark, It occurred to me that there are currently no lions on display in Berlin - with the renovation of both Berlin Zoo's Carnivore House and the Alfred Brehm House at the Tierpark. I wonder when this last happened?

I don`t know for sure, but i can imagine that during the Second World War, especially after the bomb attacks on Berlin, there was no lion in Berlin, since the Tierpark Berlin wasn`t founded yet and most of the animals in the Zoo died due to the bomb attacks and starvation.
