It is somewhat randomly placed across from the orangutan and sun bear enclosures, and the one problem I have with the zoo is the oddly centred exhibits that mess up the geographic theme of the grounds. However, cassowarries in the wild are located quite close to orangs and sun bears...
Well, really since Hurricane Andrew they somewhat gave up on keeping zoogeographic themes to provide more diversity to its animal collection since they knew they couldnt build new well-built exhibits for a long time.
This exhibit is rather new...it wasnt there at the time of my last visit 2.5 years ago. I wonder if that is one of my cassowaries?
