Caterpillar Box tree moth - Cydalima perspectalis

Aug. 5 2019 - Fijnaart
Last year this species destroyed a large part of one of my Box tree-hedges but I was unable to find a single caterpillar ( didn't however search very intensive ). Today I discovered again that another small box tree hedge started to become bald and now I made an intensive search and found no less then 14 caterpillars !
A term I heared already several times for how to deal with invasive species is "if you can't beat it, eat it" came up in me but because I don't like the taste of caterpillars I disided to give them to the Pumpkinseeds and Red-eared slider in one of my ponds ( yes I know, also both invasive species ! ).
