Parrotsandrew

Cavy Country, 10th May 2014

It was quite lush for a while but the estate gardeners strimmed it last year and it has not grown much since. Maybe it became easier for the Guinea Pigs to nibble when it was cut and they have kept it down.

I've kept Guinea Pigs at various times( latterly they were my children's) and always noticed what enormous quantities of grass they seem to consume. In hutches they eat huge piles if given it, in runs on grass they quickly mow it short and really need to be moved daily.
