Chester 18 June 1983 - 16 November 2000 (this exhibit being his last home for between a year and 18 months). Arrived in Australia (Taronga first and last) August/September 1992.
@steveroberts It’s great to see photos like these as online coverage of zoos was scarce pre-2000’s. Nowadays, it wouldn’t be difficult at all to pull up a photo of any tiger in the region over the past decade - but there’s limited content, even on the high profile animals at high profile zoos.
