Chilean Flamingo

The Chilean are exhibited in the outdoor lagoon by themselves, whereas the Greater Flamingos are in one of the aviaries. This was taken at the lagoon. Now if they are now letting a few Greater Flamingos mingle with the Chileans it's news to me. Up until recently, they also exhibited Caribbean alongside the Chileans but they have all been sent to other institutions.

I understand that, but this is certainly a greater flamingo. Chilean flamingos don't have that pink bill.

Agreed, it is a Greater Flamingo. I didn't pay attention to that when taking the shot. They must have a few there in the exhibit as the aviary group of Greater Flamingos is a bit lacking in space. The Greater also has a bit more color contrast in its feathers.
