Chilean Flamingo

The gardens keep a flock of Flamingos, a historic tradition for the park
Thank you for posting these photos! The Chilean Flamingo exhibit looks just like I remember from my last visit there in 1991. The garden itself is beautiful and back then in contained a scattering of animal exhibits. The animal exhibits weren't great, but most of them seemed to be up to the standards of 1990. I saw my first (and almost only) Swamp Wallaby there, and they also had a pair of Southern Ground Hornbills at the time. Did you notice a small aviary with Roseate Spoonbills? They used to have a breeding colony at Sunken Gardens and several of them were incorporated into the colony that Zoo Tampa initiated in 1989 or 1990.
