Samantha was born 25/12/1983 at Taronga Zoo. She came to Wellington Zoo with Cara and Sally in 1992. Samantha has two surviving offspring at Wellington Zoo - Keza (born 1998) and Malika (2010). Once a high ranking female, Samantha’s rank dropped significantly following the death of her adult son, Temba (1994-2015). She and her adolescent daughter, Malika, are now the lowest ranking females in the troop.
