@littleRedPanda By the markings I think it is a young Chital. Doesn't look right for Pere David's, even when young they have the longer face and legs than this one.
Oh well, I'll have to make sure I get some shots next time i'm at a holding zoo. I took a picture of their sign at Barcelona and thought i'd got them elsewhere already.
@AdamD601 Looking again I think you are right. No dark nose like Axis, and the spotted area doesn't cover the lower area of the body either, but has the fallow's horizontal stripe.
