The zoo's African savanna housed the following species: Kordofan giraffe, Greater kudu, Mhorr gazelle, North African ostrich, Western black-crowned crane, Grey-crowned crane, and Marabou. Individuals of Yellow-billed stork, Demoiselle crane, and Vulturine guineafowl were also displayed separately.
