Clouded Leopard Exhibit

July 26th, 2011.
What used to be in these cages before the Backstage Pass took over the Elephant Mesa?

Someone else will have to let you know because some of San Diego Zoo's exhibits have featured such a merry-go-round of animals that I've completely lost track!:)

If this is where I think it is, it's generally held small cats like servals, maybe caracals. Not sure on exact species.

There are three exhibits, although it looks from this photo the left and middle may have been combined. I believe those are the ones pictured and the third exhibit is off to the right of this frame.

Most recently (before Backstage Pass), it was prevosts squirrel on the left, arabian wildcat in the middle and another arabian wildcat on the right. Prior to prevosts squirrel it was amur leopard cat on the left. Prior to arabian wildcat on the far right it was west mexican margay. Tough exhibits to see and photograph, but I did get lucky and manage a few good shots (which I put extra effort into due to it being small cats).
