I agree that it's a type of collared lizard, but I think it's one of the species from Madagascar. I think that this an Oplurus cuvieri which is commonly called the Madagascar Collared Iguana. It's one of the Madagascar iguanas and is sort of an ecological equivalent to the collared lizards (genus Crotophytus) that we have in America, and are even part of the same family of lizards. The Madagascar Collared Iguana has more pronounced banding on the body, and a spiny tail, but we can't see the tail in this photo. The American collared lizards have a wider head than the ones from Madagascar, which is why I don't think that this is one of American species.
@German Zoo World I think you're right! This looks more like a Baja Blue Rock Lizard ( Petrosaurus thalassinus) than a collared lizard or one of the Madagascar iguanas! Thank you for posting! This is a tougher lizard to identify than I thought!
